Septate Sisters

Hi ladies! My name is Emily and I'm gonna use this page to talk a little about myself and my experience with my septate hymen. First things first, I'm 21 years old and though I was born and raised in New York, I currently live in New Hampshire. When I was 16 years old, I discovered I had a septate hymen after many failed attempts at inserting a tampon. I was upset when I learned that the only way to fix it was to have minor surgery. Fast forward to when I was 20 years old and met my first boyfriend. When things started heating up, I realized it was time to face my fears and to take the next steps in removing that extra band of tissue I was born with. After numerous appointments and finally, surgery, I am proud to say that I am now free of my septate hymen and can enjoy a physical relationship with my boyfriend. I was given the opportunity to share my story on the MTV show "Virgin Territory" in hopes of helping and inspiring young girls. The purpose of this website is for all of the girls out there with septate hymens. May this be a safe place to talk and learn about your body and the journey that awaits you.
